PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Chareonchit, or JJ as her Western colleagues call her, brings a strong background in international banking. Her career spans three decades, during which Thailand emerged as one of the most promising developing countries in Southeast Asia. JJ helped champion this growth by committing herself to creating new strategies for American banks that would ensure profitability in Thai investments, regardless of fluctuations in the economy.
JJ is highly regarded in the world of banking and recognized as one of Thailand's top financial, management, and banking executives, as well as a leading corporate advisor. As Vice Chairman of the Thailand Management Association, Chareonchit pioneered the need for innovation, leadership training, and corporate consulting in Thailand. With that commitment to the future, she joined the Insigniam team and is determined to do her part in contributing her knowledge and expertise to private and public institutions that want to contribute and make a difference in Thailand.
Other exciting and noteworthy professional experience includes:
- Winning numerous promotions at Continental Bank in Chicago and becoming the first Thai Country Manager of a major U.S. bank in Thailand
- Raising the Bank of New York's profile and doubling its revenue in 18 months as the Vice President/Country Manager in charge of all the bank's Thai operations
- Creating an investment strategy that convinced Bank of New York's headquarters to continue investing in Thailand during the Thai financial crisis—a strategy so profitable that one year later the bank was recognized as the number one correspondent bank in the Thai market

JJ AFTER WORK
As a mother of two adult children and a powerful business leader, JJ learned the art of leadership and love of family from her mother, who raised seven children as a single parent with few resources and much hard work. She did so while also becoming a successful businesswoman who accumulated significant social and economic stature for her children. JJ has been married for over 34 years to Ek Ngamtippan, who is a leader in the field of electrical engineering.
