John F. 'Jack' McGuire

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Jack brings over 25 years of executive experience in the biomedical industry to his consulting at Insigniam. He most recently served as the President and CEO of American Red Cross where he improved revenue, cost position, customer satisfaction and quality performance while restructuring the organization and improving employee morale. Jack's career included working for several leading blood filtration, diagnostic, and chemical companies including, Whatman, Hemasure, Johnson & Johnson Ortho Diagnostic Systems and Dupont.
Other professional highlights:
- Transforming the disaster and chapter business of the American Red Cross (ARC), as CEO and President, to improve organizational response and financial performance based upon lessons learned from the 2005 hurricane season
- Refocusing ARC's core business - selling or closing non-business critical operations and restructuring to align the organization on the strategy, driving the six critical strategic success requirements
- Successfully restructuring Whatman to achieve proper growth and profitability, during his tenure as President of the filtration manufacturer
- Developing commercial partnerships and streamlining the commercialization of Hemasure products as President and CEO
- Managing performance to achieve profitable growth while launching new products at J&J Ortho Diagnostics

JACK AFTER WORK
Jack enjoys spending time with his wife of 32 years, Jane McGuire, playing golf, and fly fishing. He lives in Woodstock, VT where he is currently preparing a course on crises management for the Tuck School at Dartmouth College to be given this spring.
