Michael Guss
“It is energizing to watch our clients' possibilities become measurable realities.”
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Michael began his professional career in Japan and China. He was a pioneering entrepreneur in China, developing an agricultural and industrial supply-chain for a Fortune 50 food and beverage company. He also developed a multi-million tree plantation in China to supply a highly strategic ingredient for a Fortune 50 food and beverage company.
On behalf of Agripure, a publicly listed Thai company that Michael directed, he created or catalyzed key-account or long-term projects with Del Monte USA, Del Monte Asia, Seneca Foods Corporation, The Bonduelle Group, Hagoromo Foods Corporation, and other industry leaders. Michael drove constant expansion of value and perception; reframing the company's strengths, position, and vision. The company transformed from a domestic player to an international peer of industry giants.
Michael also conceptualized and developed joint ventures and new projects including Siam Del Monte, Asia's first manufacturer of Tetra Recart packed products, which Kikkoman Corporation later joined as of major shareholder. He was a Managing Director for Southeast Asia for a global family-owned business with sales over 1 billion U.S. dollars. Key customers included McDonald's, Yum!, Cargill, General Foods, Ajinomoto, and most other major restaurants, food services, and food manufacturing companies around the world. In addition to geographic authority, his unit was responsible for large and complex manufacturing operations critical to the company's Asia-Pacific supply-chain.
Prior to joining Insigniam, Michael founded a consulting company focused on supply-chain integrity and anti-corruption in Asia. Over 15 world-experts in complementary fields have joined forces to benefit developing nations whose enterprises are perverted by corruption to the detriment of consumer's physical and financial health.
