In all arenas of human endeavor in which performance counts, coaches significantly contribute to the performer's ability to showcase his or her mastery, and to produce specified results. The best athletes and athletic teams in the world receive coaching. The best opera singers receive coaching. The best ballet dancers receive coaching. Top executives receive and value coaching for the results that are produced and the personal satisfaction of vital, continuous growth and achievement.
Coaching adds value where value already exists. The achiever who receives coaching gains a heightened capacity for discovering possibilities and openings for action, where previously few or none appeared to be accessible. Nobody needs a coach. In fact, it is common that the contribution of coaching cannot be anticipated or predicted by the person receiving it. What is predictable, however, is that the willingness and desire to be coached is present in those who seek an edge to continuously produce greater and greater results.
Seeing The Invisible
Most leaders - executives, managers, directors, and countless others - want to deliver extraordinary results. Leaders apply knowledge, expertise, lessons of past choices, problem-solving philosophies, advice gleaned from relationships with others, and not least of all, hard work. When these tools are not fully getting the job done or achieving a goal, another option exists. Often the missing element is the executive having access to seeing his or her blind spots.
Coaching is a support structure for already-effective leaders who are committed to reaching higher levels of practical effectiveness in multiple arenas of accountability by enlarging their capacity to see the unseen and to know the unknowable.
Insigniam Performance is a part of a consortium of consulting firms that distinguished executive coaching as a specific business discipline nearly 20 years ago. Since then, we have developed a proven, powerful approach for coaching executives and senior managers to greatly enhance their performance and effectiveness in producing extraordinary results.
Coaching for Breakthrough
In one-to-one sessions, an Insigniam Performance coach works with the executive, manager or team. At the onset of the coaching partnership clear outcomes are identified, and a coaching plan with a beginning and end time is established. The coach supports the client to realize bold and exciting futures that would not happen without the executive's intervention and leadership. If appropriate or necessary the coach will conduct a series of interviews with people around the executive to reveal information and insight to support the intended outcomes.
The Insigniam coach supports the individual executive or team to enlarge their capacity to see an area of work or expertise in a new way, thus providing access to new possibilities and opportunities for their business. The coach also supports the individual to stay focused on what is critical to moving his or her organization forward, and to explore and open up new possibilities for creativity, productivity, and action.
